Admixtures for Concrete, Mortar and Grout should conform to harmonised European Standard EN 934

They must also meet the harmonised conditions for marketing laid down in the European Union Construction Products Regulation (CPR) No 305/2011.

The CPR (EU) No 305/2011 Articles 8 and 9 require that Admixtures conforming to EN 934 are CE marked with the information which can be found in Article 9 clause 2 before being placed on the market.

Before a product can be CE marked, a declaration of performance (DoP) shall be drawn up. The information to be provided on the DoP is given in Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 Article 4, 5 and 6 and Annex III. However Annex III has now been modified, see below.

Delegated regulation EU 574/2014 shall replace the DoP requirements given in Annex III to Regulation (EU) No 305/2011.

The DoP shall be provided in writing at the time of delivery but may alternatively be made available on a website the details of which shall appear on the delivery documents. The conditions for making a DoP available on a website may be found in Delegated Regulation EU 157/2014.

Admixture manufacturers are responsible for ensuring that their products and documentation conforms to all the requirements of the CPR (EU) No 305/2011. However indicative examples of a CE mark and a DoP are given below:
